I am sure most of you, well, at least some of you are wondering about the title of this blog as well as the blog address. In order to satisfy your curiosity here are some definitions, and a brief explanation, of the reference (those of you who don't know the various shows, movies, and book references don't expect this every time...).
That being said, if you don't know what unprecedented and exploit mean, go and look them up in a dictionary, because I am only explaining and defining my obscure references.
Whovian: Yes, it is an actual word. I'm not kidding. No matter what your spellchecker might say... Observe: http://oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/Whovian?q=whovian
Anyways, an explanation/definition of the blog address: crimson11delightpetrichor
Crimson: it's a deep sort of red colour. It's a very rich colour that is often used to associated with Christmas, ribbons, roses etc. so who wouldn't to remind people of it with their blog address?
11: the age you receive (or, possibly, don't receive ) your Hogwarts letter. (Hah! Just kidding...That's just one of those references I warned you about) It's also a pretty great age for many other reasons: it's a prime number; it's the first birthday where you have the same number twice; it's right in between being a teenage and being a child (though, that could be considered a disadvantage); and you're in grade 6, which means, in some provinces and countries, that you're in your last year of elementary school.
Delight: It's a fantastic word to describe being happy.
Petrichor: The smell of dust after rain.
Also, despite the separate "explanations" that I just gave you, it comes down to a certain episode of Doctor Who. The words make up a telepathic password for a room in the TARDIS. You need to picture each of the words in order to unlock the door. So really those explanations I gave you as to why I used those words are complete bogus, and though they may be true in and of themselves, they're not the reason I used that address. The real reason is because I'm a nutty Whovian and the more you say the words in a row the more awesome they sound. Especially "petrichor."
Bonus Definitions (for later reference):
Sherlockian: You can apply the definition of Whovian to it if you remove "science-fiction" and replace "Doctor Who" with "Sherlock." Not too difficult.
Wholockian: Noun
a. A fan of both previously mentioned BBC television shows
b. referring to fanfiction/art combining the two shows
T.A.R.D.I.S.: Stands for Time And Relative Dimensions In Space. It is a time machine/space ship with a chameleon circuit that's broken, so it's stuck looking like a 1960s British Police Public Call Box. It's bigger on the inside (or smaller on the outside, if you prefer to think of it that way), and travels through the Time Vortex to various places in time and space. There are many complexities to the TARDIS, but this is about all you non-Whovians really need to know.
221B Baker Street: The home of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson and Mrs Hudson (their landlady, not their housekeeper).
Camelot: If you don't know what Camelot is...shame on you (not really...though seriously...Google it.)
Wow...you are a crazy Whovian! But then again..so are we (Whovians). Have a great time. Love from all the Branches.
