Tain

This is weird to be making a blog in the afternoon and not in the evening. Sorry, just needed to get that out.

Alright, Tain. Tain is a beautiful little town far up in the Highlands on the East coast of Scotland (obviously) on the Domoch Firth. It has many old buildings that tower over the narrow, winding streets. I took loads of pictures as I walked...I felt very touristy...However, it was so pretty that I couldn't not take pictures. I have to admit though, the pictures (especially with my skill, or lack thereof) hardly do it justice. I guess that it, and this entire country, is something that you can't capture in pictures, you have experience it yourself.

Anyways (I use that word a lot, my apologies)...I suppose I'll give more information as I put up pictures.

Flowers are blooming on the trees already here!

Looking down at part of Tain and the Firth

This made me smile

So many crocuses and it's not even March!

This House was for sale...I thought my parents should buy it ;)

The door on this house was a very pretty pale mint colour that apparently didn't show up too well when I took the picture....
One of the churches in Tain

Part of a different church

More crocuses!

It amuses me that it says "Give Way" instead of "Yield"

Across the Firth the sun was shining on top of that mountain, but it was cloudy where I was

Bridge over the River Tain (hah...see what I did there?)

A pretty flowering shrub

This picture didn't turn out very well, it was a shell that was super pretty but also very tiny...

Most of Tain, I believe, from beside of the Firth

The trees are so much cooler here! They have character you can sink your teeth into (though I wouldn't actually...). Maybe it's the fact that they're covered in lichen and they're more knobbly and gnarled. Whatever it is, they're cool.

hehehe

Just a cute window display I saw

Stone work for my brother Nick to see

Some gorgeous snowdrops!

For reasons

Where I am staying at the moment!

  1. Great pictures Hannah. I know you can't keep up this pace of showing pictures...but we love looking at them over here at the Branch residence. We spent a nice afternoon and evening with your folks yesterday.

  2. We will get right on that...buying the house, I mean. It looks like it would house a few looms. ;)
