Demon's Run

When a good man goes to war
Night will fall and drown the sun
When a good man goes to war

Friendship dies and true love lies
Night will fall and the dark will rise
When a good man goes to war

Demons run, but count the cost
The battle's won, but the child is lost.

Woke up this morning with a sigh and went about my daily routine getting ready for my 7 am shift, and then, when I was down in the kitchen get the sausages and hashbrowns out of the freezer, I remembered. It's April 23. Impossible Astronaut Day. Dutifully, I marked myself up in silent salute to the Battling of the Silence.

Sorry, it's not particularly clear...

My fellow Whovian, Pond, took a while to notice but when she did she protested muchly with many "Why would you do that??" It was she who "kindly" marked me with black permanent marker (which I am happy to say is almost off all the way...should be gone by tomorrow night...).

At 11 o'clock break Tescoes came with our order so Pond and I had to leave our tea and go help unload. However, when we returned Weasley was sitting at the table eating her toast and she finally noticed my arms and almost choked on her toast. And then she sat and laughed...a lot.. apparently I made her day.

Lunch brought more inquiries from instructors and such and it was as I was eating in the conservatory that one of them asked me if the tally marks were of how many I had been battling  to which I calmly replied "how many what?"

At the moment, the wireless has gone funny which is super annoying.

On a completely different note, it seems to me I never told you that I went on a walk with Weasley quite some time ago, back in March when we still had snow. I took some pictures so you can see how high the drifts where....

Anyways, it's dinner in three minutes and I am quite hungry so I shall leave off here. I apologize that this blog does not have more Whovianness in it today...I was planning on it and then I couldn't be bothered ;) Perhaps I might go out later for texting and scones...who knows...

Life

Life, that thing that happens when the Doctor isn't on TV. So, I guess that means it's what happens between each Saturday at 6:15 (or, like tonight, 6:45..grrr...).

I guess a few of you have been wondering what's been happening in my life lately since I haven't blogging on such a regular basis as I was wont to in weeks past. To tell the truth, it's just been life. Working, eating, sleeping, hanging out with people etc.

The other Sunday after church a bunch of us girls went mountain biking which was pretty fun! Hoping we're gonna do it again soon. It's great exercise as well as being incredibly fun, especially going down long hills standing up...goodness, I'm starting to write like a primary school child.

Currently, I am sitting up in the staff lounge by myself. The center's pretty empty this weekend anyways, and a whole bunch of people are at Paul's watching The Walking Dead, and since I haven't watched the first season and they're on the second I figured I'd stay back, plus I probably don't need to have another show to watch...

Went for something of a ramble today. Not anything huge. Not even that far from the center, but it was up a few hills. And there at the top I sat on the green grass in the sun and read my book. It was lovely. Though the wind was a bit chilly...However, it was nothing  compared to the weather yesterday. Absolutely gorgeous! Clear blue skies all day, and it must have hit about 18 degrees (and yes, I know, you Canadians had some 24 degree weather...but now you have snow...so there...) and we sat outside and ate our dinner on the patio. The only thing that was annoying was the fact that I was on a 9-5 shift. The weather was seriously taunting me. But it was nice to eat dinner outside with everyone (everyone being the seven of us who were actually in last night...).

Wow. Horrible paragraph skills, Hannah. Absolutely horrible. You need to write more...

I've been on a couple of kitchen shifts by myself when we had a group of six or so in. So apparently they trust me and think I'm capable which is super awesome.

Last Sunday B and I went for a walk in the wind. It was pretty great. We spent some of the beginning of our walk separating our colleagues into Extrovert/Introvert categories (and, of course, in between...we had quite a few of those, as well as a few introverts, and a handful of extroverts).

Anyways, so I don't really know what to do with myself tonight....try to find the Decoy Bride online or watch Doctor Who "The Girl Who Waited"...or maybe....both...hmmm...well....maybe Doctor Who and then see how I feel and then maybe Decoy Bride...or maybe talk to my sister and then Doctor Who and then Decoy Bride...even better. Welp, that's what I'm going to be up to!  I hope you lot are happy with this long rambling completely random blogpost...and if you're not...well, I guess there's no pleasing some people ;)

...

Just to bring you up to date, I didn't go to Edinburgh or Glasgow or really anywhere that weekend. I went to Dumfries which really isn't the same at all. It's basically the St. Thomas of here...But I bought a cute dress from New Look. It's black with a lace Peter Pan collar. Other than that nothing exciting has been happening in my life (yes, I know the fact that a new dress is the only exciting thing that's happened lately is fairly sad...). Anyways, I have nothing further to say at the moment except that it's dinner time and I'm starving. So for all you who were asking..here's that blog post...
