Long time no speak

I would love to apologize for not blogging in, well, months, but that's just what happens when you travel with the Doctor and lose track of the time.

So what has been happening since...well since I last blogged? So many little things. Went on that shopping trip to Glasgow and bought three tops and a pair of red high tops.

They are truly wonderful

I do not have pictures of the tops much to the dismay, I'm sure, of some of my readers.

One of the Sundays in May, I don't remember which, we had a Fun Day where we invited some of the churches around Dumfries and Galloway to come and have a barbeque and go out on the activities and things. There was also some fantastic and amazing face painting done by the center's own Amelia Pond (this is an alias in case you had forgotten...i know..it's been a while...I'm having trouble myself remembering what name goes with who...). I naturally got my face painted and, funnily enough, neither of these was actually my idea though I wholeheartedly concurred!

It was amazing and I was sad when I had to wash my face.

Hmmm...what else happened in May...I got a roommate, but you already knew that...Been to the beach several times...haven't had the guts to go in yet (still a bit chilly in my opinion). Do you ever have it that some one asks you what you've been doing for the past few months and everything you've done completely disappears? Experiencing that right now...'sall gone from my mind...

So on to June then...

Fantastic and Brilliant things occurred in June, namely my brother John came to stay and we went to Edinburgh. The original plan was that we would hang out and things on the Sunday that he arrived and then on the Monday to Wednesday he would go out hill walking for a bit and then on Thursday we would head to Edinburgh and come back on the Saturday. Well..that went slightly awry when the rain, midges, and blisters sent John back early on Tuesday. So we hung out around here, and continued as planned with the trip to Edinburgh, and his feet, thankfully, were feeling much better.

We took the 8:53 to Edinburgh and arrived around noon. We walked from Waverly station back to St Leonards street where I spent most of my days when I was there previously chilling out, maxing, and relaxing all cool . . .sorry...had to go there...It was at that flat that I stayed in February with a friend of my sister and brother-in-law, and since she had gone home for the summer she kindly allowed us to use it. With out bags dropped off, we proceeded to check out Parkside Terrace, and Barkley Bruntsfield, and from there we headed to the Elephant House for lunch. We spent the remainder of the afternoon (we ate around 2:30-3:00) walking around the Royal Mile. Our evening was spent climbing Arthur's Seat (which, in case you were wondering, still winded me something horrible....I blame the high winds . . .). With that conquered once more, we headed back to homebase to relax for a bit before dinner. We had our dinner in a lovely pub called The Abbey on Clerk Street. The fish and chips were splendid as was the cider!

On Friday we went to the Zoo because I am a mature and responsible adult and I wanted to go to the Zoo. It was quite nice. We got to see the Pandas which was pretty cool and some penguins and lions, and tigers and bears, oh my! We had a lovely lunch at a sandwich place on Clerk street. Then we headed off to the Cinema to see a matinée of Man of Steel. The cinema was fantastic. It still had all the old crown molding, pillars and red curtains. It was wonderful. The film was also wonderful, just so you know. Dinner again at The Abbey, and then we skyped with John's girlfriend who I had not really chatted with previously since they started dating after I came here.

The next morning we got up early once again (not a difficult feat here since the sun came up at 3:30-4...now at about 2:30-3. . .) and headed back down to the train station. We spent the rest of our day traveling and then relaxing for a bit and did something fun in the evening which I can't remember for some strange and very irritating reason...

We went to Cream of Galloway the next day and had some very, very tasty Ice Cream. It seriously is amazing Ice Cream though. They make it on site from their own cows.

Sadly, John left the next day and headed down to London without me, and, from the pictures I've seen, apparently ran off with the Doctor without bothering to stop and pick up his little sister. Very rude, I know.

Since then, not too much exciting has happened. I have made plans for months to come, namely, at the end of July when we have a very orthodox Jewish group (which means they are entirely self-catered and we can't use the kitchen)  in I am going to work at Ardgour. Then for my birthday Weasley and I are heading to Ireland to visit with Pond and her family. Oh, and I am officially here till August 31, 2014! So that's exciting. What is much less exciting and much more stressful is the fact that I have no idea what I am doing with my life after that and that's more then slightly terrifying. But we shall see what is in store for me. I'm trying not to stress too much about it and just enjoy my time here. Oooo and some other exciting future thinger....my lovely parents are coming to Sunny Scotland at last! Their plans that were supposed to be for their 25th anniversary are no coming to fruition seven years later. But hey, better seven years late then not at all! :) so that's very exciting for them! That's about all I can think of. I shall do my best to blog at the end of July when I get back from Ardgour and I am sure I will have a very depressing and sad post in August when so many of my friends are leaving...I try not to think of that month...it depresses me too much...and on that note. So long and here's to next time! *raises imaginary glass of champagne like Leonardo Di Caprio in that picture of him as Jay Gastby...
