Shopping, Shopping, Shopping

Bit of a repetitive title, I know. However, if you are part of my immediate family you will read it with the correct inflection. The rest of you will just have to be content with attempting outloud and realizing that you will never get it right without hearing one of us say it. But anyways...

I know, i know, what is this madness? Two blogposts in one month? Unheard of!

As you well know, I went shopping at the beginning of May and bought three new tops and a pair of red high tops. The high tops you've seen, but the shirts have been concealed from you until now! Dun dun dun!

And you still have to wait because I need to show my first clothing purchase first. I bought this dress, back in March I believe from New Look in Dumfries. It was on the sales rack and cost only £10 (from what I can remember.) So for those of you who have been waiting since then (pretty sure I blogged about it) here it is:

Yes, Mother dear,  it is horribly wrinkled from lying on my floor...I know you raised me better than that...my apologies
The following three items are from our May collection entitled Glasgow Primark

This may seem like a simple plain white t-shirt, but if one looks closely (as in with a much better camera, or better yet in person....haha..hint hint) they can observe that the translucent material is actually patterned in an almost Zebra-style which adds a touch of flair when worn over a coloured Tank Top. The small breast-pocket on the left also adds a touch of unobtrusive style, and inadvertently causes the female wearer to ponder the deeper questions of life, such as "What on earth is this pocket for?" and even deeper, "Who in their right mind would actually use it?"

Made of a deceivingly light material (light as in weight wise...and what i mean by "deceivingly light" is that it looks like it's heavier than it is...), this shell top looks adorable by itself as well as with a light cardigan thrown over top. The Peter Pan collar with bow adds a touch of girlish charm that will soften the frown of any matronly woman who would look askance at the length.

The lace shoulders and back of this baggy shirt take all plainness away in a simple, no fuss fashion. The shirt can be worn loose over leggings, jeans, or shorts, or tucked halfway into shorts and jeans for a daring asymmetrical look.
The following photos are from our July New Look special.

You can't go wrong in the summer with a orange-red sleeveless frock with a lace over-dress. Gathered in the waist, the full skirt gives a fresh, cool look, and the added black belt keeps the orange-red from becoming overpowering.

These three inch heels are too adorable to keep away from, so that even our tallest buyer of 5'10" just had to have a pair at the staggeringly low price of £10!  The red and black rose pattern on the bows and ribbons add a Spanish flair to a style reminiscent of 1930s.

As seen by this side view, the heel is the exact right size to give the shoe elegance and grace without being too chunky in the middle aged sense, nor too skinny in the reckless teenager sense. These shoes are fitting for anyone who has the ambition to have the same grace, elegance, and style as Ginger Rogers, Grace Kelly, or Audrey Hepburn.

Enough of that nonsense, though to be honest, I highly enjoyed writing that. Moving on.

Unbeknownst to my family and friends across the pond I made a bit of a change to my looks. At first I was thinking just highlights and then I thought "Ah, why not just go all the way?" So I, or rather B, booked a double appointment at the hairsalon in Kirkcudbright and we went last Saturday to get out hair done. So yes I went and got my hair did and it is now quite a bit blonder and all nicely shaped up the back and things :) I am more than just pleased with it! I really do love it! The first day I kept forgetting that I had had it done so every time I passed the mirror I had to go and check it out. :) And so, without further ado, you may look at the new hair colour of Hannah te Bokkel! (that is if you weren't impatient and didn't just go ahead and look when you started reading...)

Welp, that's about it for now. So see you after Ardgour! :)
